Gwadar Port Documentary and Benefits for Pakistan

The multi-billion dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, or CPEC., geographically, refers to the 2,000-kilometer road and rail link connecting Kashgar, in west China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, to Pakistan’s southwestern port of Gwadar.

But the project is not merely confined to transportation infrastructure construction.

It also includes cooperation in financing, investment, as well as measures on energy which covers coal-fired power plants, hydroelectric and wind-generated power, solar power stations and coal supplies.

The corridor is also expected to help some of the most under-developed areas of Pakistan by reducing poverty and generating jobs.

For China, it reduces transportation time of goods and energy. At present, goods exports from China to the Middle East and Africa via the Strait of Malacca take about 45 days. That could be reduced to less than 10 days going through Gwadar port.

In a broader view, the corridor will closely connect Central Asia, West Asia, and Gulf States through economic and energy cooperation.

First please understand why Gwadar is so important, China takes a whole round of thousands of miles in sea in order to get it’s oil import ships. Which costs China Multi Billions of Dollars each year.

Just By Attracting The Oil Import Of China Pakistan will make at least Projected $4–8 Billion in annual revenue.

Land-lock countries such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan have already shown great interest in Gwadar Port and Pakistan also made contact with them and told them that a road will be constructed which will go up to Russia and these land locked countries can use Gwadar for their trade purpose as well.

Gwadar will create 40,000 jobs regarding port

200,000 new enterprises and a Million jobs for locals would be created.

300 New Factories to be made (20 already bought area).

So, According to minister Ahsan Iqbal “ Gwadar will generate a massive total business revenue of $40 Billion+ in next one decade crossing Lahore as the second most revenue generating city”

More than 525 Militants gave up their weapons in Gwadar before operation was started, 230 Militants were further killed.
